What’s your “gut feeling”?

Congratulations to all of you who accepted Dr. Cobi’s gift and chose to join in the cleanse!

As someone who has had an interesting life long journey with food, I have some thoughts for you post cleanse, as you continue your journey to better healthy.

Think of yourself as a scientist and the cleanse as an experiment.  I find this gets you “out of your head” and away from thinking that making yourself eat that way is a punishment for previous poor choices or that you are hard done by with all the restrictions or that that is how only really disciplined people eat.

Instead, you are staying objective and understanding how nutrition fuels and optimizes YOU.

“Hmmm…I wasn’t tired at 3:00 while I was cleansing – that is interesting.”

So, now when you choose to drink wine again, it isn’t “bad” or “good” but interesting to record the data that the day after the wine you were tired again at 3:00.

Or…

“Hmmmm…I had less menstrual cramps while cleansing- that is interesting.”  Let’s look into that some more.

Or…

“Hmmmm I don’t remember feeling bloated while cleansing and I just ate gluten at breakfast and lunch and look at that, here I am bloated”.

What you find out for yourself will be different than other people.

The other thing I find is that to reap the benefits of the cleanse and the data presented to you, you need to slow down and be a bit more present with exactly how you do feel.  Exactly what your “gut feeling is”.  There is a lot of wisdom there and with teachers like Dr. Cobi to help us understand and trust, we begin to feel empowered and live with a whole lot of gratitude for this beautiful and miraculous body we’ve all been given.

Once we are feeling empowered, imagine all we can get accomplished!  The 5 pounds lost may be a nice side effect, but the awesomeness comes from the extra energy and vitality.  There isn’t really a destination….let’s rock the journey.
